Lets work together

I believe that my purpose is to be in connection with people and I’m here hoping to foster these connections with you and/or your child.

  • What's bothering you?

Are you unable to do all that you want to experience?

Are there barriers to feeling your best?

    Are you overwhelmed, stressed, worried?

  • What can you do about it?

Learn to be with and get through tough emotions.

Take your life back and live according to your values.

Find ways to challenge your fears.

My approach

I specialize in individual therapy with children and adolescents. I also work with college students and young adults. I use Evidence Based Treatments meaning they are backed by research and are the gold standards in the field. While I integrate different modalities, I primarily conduct Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). I also integrate Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) skills, mindfulness, emotion-focused, and family systems concepts.

What I work with

  • CBT, ERP, and ACT for generalized & social anxiety, specific fears (e.g., vomit phobia), and panic attacks

  • CBT, ERP, and ACT for feared obsessions / intense worries and compulsive behaviors and/or thoughts

  • Habit Reversal Training (HRT) and Comprehensive Behavioral (ComB) treatment for Skin Picking and Hair Pulling Disorders

  • Trauma-Focused CBT (TF-CBT) for PTSD in children and adolescents

  • LGBTQ+ affirming therapy and gender affirming therapy for transgender and nonbinary youth

  • Working to better yourself and your life (work, school, family, relationships)

What Therapy Looks Like

We start with a free initial consultation typically over the phone. During the first few sessions I will get to know you/your child and we will figure out what to focus on moving forward. Most typically, we will work together once a week for a 50-minute session.

For younger children, there is more caregiver involvement; typically for part of each session. For teens there are more occasional parent check-ins with or without the teen, depending on preference. With caregiver consent, there can also be less parental involvement if that's what is needed for the teen to feel most comfortable. At times, family sessions may also be helpful.

In certain circumstances I am also able to provide more intensive outpatient services which would consist of multiple days per week and/or longer sessions. If therapy in the home is recommended (typically for intensive exposure and response prevention treatment) we can discuss this as well.

If I believe that you or your child needs a higher level of care (i.e., inpatient hospitalization, partial hospitalization, residential placement) I can work with you to establish a plan and help get you/them to where you/they need to be.
